The Farm
Arroyo Arabians is located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley on the central coast of California. Dr. Mario & Antonia Arroyo fulfilled their lifelong dream of owning horses when they started the farm in October 1986. The Arroyos are passionate about the Arabian horse. Both Mario and Antonia enjoy showing in the amateur division and look forward to riding every weekend. Antonia is a top competitor in the show arena with National Top Tens in Western Pleasure and Country Pleasure and Scottsdale unanimous Champion ½ Arabian Western Pleasure AAOTR.
In 1987 Mario & Antonia purchased the yearling colt Khaffire+, by Cease Fire+++ , and began the journey of showing and promoting the young stallion. Khaffire+ went on to win two National Reserve Championships in Stallion Halter and a Scottsdale TopTen (3rd) in Open English Pleasure with Ray LaCroix and is making his mark as a sire of top quality Halter & Performance horses.

Arroyo Arabians is a training and breeding farm with twenty-five stalls, a 120’x180’ arena, 52’ bullpen, hot walker, breeding lab, sale arena, mare motel and turnout pastures. We specialize in training and showing Purebred & Half-Arabians in the Halter, Western, English & Hunter divisions with focus on a very successful amateur program. We offer stallion management for client horses which includes breeding services, advice on promotion, and help in developing a breeding program that’s right for your stallion. Trainers at the farm are Kelly Elm and Rafael Perez. The two have worked together at Arroyo Arabians since 1987. Arroyo Arabians is located three miles from the internationally recognized Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center. We have a small & efficient staff of kind, lifelong horse people. We will be happy to talk with you about our services and our horses. Visitors are always welcome.
